OffCloud Privacy Terms and Conditions
OffCloud is an Application that allows users to store and access their data Private, Outside the Cloud in their own premise. It uses our Patented OffCloud Framework that allows users to store and retrieve data within a LAN exposed to internet with or without proxy with no extra configuration on their network.
User Responsibilities
This Application only provies a method to transfer and access data from the user device(desktop/Computer/laptop) using mobile phones. Since the Data is stored on User Devices with in LAN. We expect user to manage the data there on which means, The application is not responsible in any way to manage any selected data once it has been successfully transfered has been transfered to the user Offcloud device(desktop/Computer/laptop) from his Mobile.
What Information we collect?
We collect the users phone number and email id at the time of registration along with the MAC Address of the Host. These information are collected as these are Unique entities for us to implement per User/Device Licensing mechanisms
None of these informations are shared with any one, unless it is required by Governament Regulations or Requested by Legal means.
Can user delete data (Email and Phone numbers) stored on our server?
Yes, we provide an option with in the app to request deletion of data with ,in the settings menu on the app bar (de-register option),
The action is immediate and irreversable and once deleted you will be considered as fresh user and all previous subscriptions will be lost.
How ever any data related to financial Compliance may be retained for and Audits (Tax and Income) as required by Governament regulations.
What Permissions we request?
Location: To Auto Select phone number format for registration.
Contacts: To Enable you to lookup Phone number by name from your contacts to share file.
Storage: To enable you to select files and folder from your mobile that you wish to upload to your Offcloud host ( desktop/laptop).
Camera: To scan the QRcode from offcloud dektop app.
